Народ, я обновился до 3.23.54
/usr/local/bin > ./mysql_config
Usage: ./mysql_config [OPTIONS]
Options:
--cflags [-I'/usr/local/include/mysql']
--libs [-L'/usr/local/lib/mysql' -lmysqlclient -lz -lcry

--socket [/tmp/mysql.sock]
--port [3306]
--version [3.23.54]
/usr/local/bin >

Но echo phpinfo(); кричит:

mysql
MySQL Support enabled
Active Persistent Links 0
Active Links 0
Client API version 3.23.52
MYSQL_MODULE_TYPE external


Страничка с phpinfo() не кеширована.
В чём моя проблема ?
