Responsibilities:
• Understand and maintain current code in the MySQL server
• Write specifications for fixes and help implement those specifications
• Work with other members of the development team to maintain the MySQL server
Требования к кандидату:
• 3+ years C/C++ software development experience
• Ability to understand large pieces of code fast
• Strong understanding of long running programs (for example: Operating System Kernels, Filesystems, high end networking equipment). MySQL delivers maximum performance, 'forever' uptime and ease of use.
• Have proven skills in designing and coding complex environments
• SQL database experience
• BS Computer Science or equivalent
• Fluent written and spoken English
• Strong experience with Linux or Windows development environments
• Experience working with revision control tools (for example: BitKeeper, Subversion)
Desired:
• Experience with database kernel (research, commercial or OSS) development
• Experience with database kernel (research, commercial or OSS) development
• Experience with open source development tools and environments
• Contributions to some Open Source projects (we like to see Code from people who apply!)
• Experience with MySQL
