Вакансия: PHP developer, full-time, remote work (Mexico)
Всем привет.
Ищу себе замену. Маленький мексиканский филиал какой-то (судя по всему нью-йоркской) конторы. Требуется английский. Общаться приходится в основном с одним единственным менеджером, человеком вполне порядочным и покладистым.
Сам я нашел эту работу здесь: http://www.weblancer.net/projects/1985.html. Начинал я у него в декабре прошлого года за $400, за полгода постепенно доторговался до $800 (абсолютно без напрягов, ибо хорошо работал). Если бы я нынче не нашел другую работу с резко большей зарплатой и другой предметной областью, так бы и торговался дальше потихоньку. Деньги переводим так: his paypal -> his e-gold -> my e-gold -> my webmoney.

REQUIRED SKILLS
===============
We have a lot of existing projects that we support, and also we target many of our projects for shared hosting.
So we require excellent knowledge of next languages / technologies:
— PHP4, PHP5 3+ years of proven experience.
— MySQL4, MySQL5 3+ years of proven experience.
Whenever possible, we use PHP5 / MySQL5. But we have some customers who use old hosting with PHP4 / MySQL4
(and even MySQL3). So we support PHP4 code there.
— XML, XSLT
Most of our sites intensively use XML. Also some HTML-based sites use XSLT (PHP5 XSL module).
— HTML, XHTML, CSS, JavaScript (cross-browser)
HTML coding, client-side JavaScript programming. For HTML-based sites, designer always gives PSD screenshots
so you must be able to slice them, optimize, and code HTML and JavaScript in cross-browser manner.
— Flash8, ActionScript2 (Not 100% required but is very appreciated. Anyway you will need to learn it while you work here. Something that shouldn't be a problem if you have strong OOP knowledge.)
— Ability to read and modify code written by other people
— Awareness of code refactoring techiques
— Good OOP experience
— Good English and stable internet connection
— Must be online on IM during working hours
We othen make complete sites with Flash, and complete Flash administration back-ends for HTML-based sites.
Front-ends with pretty look are usually made by other people, but backends that don't require visual effects
but require complex coding is the task for you.
APPRECIATED SKILLS
==================
— Linux user (SSH), software configuration
Though we usually ask hoster's support to complete administration tasks, sometimes we have to use SSH
for some specific tasks related to site management, like configuring server software (Apache / PHP / MySQL).
— Any other web-related languages and technologies (Java, Flex, etc)
Our sites that run on shared hosting use technologies listed above. Also, many of our projects run on dedicated
servers (and on our own server), so we have nearly free choice of languages or techoligies to use.
But sometimes (though very rarely) we have to dig into the code of existing sites written by other people
(e.g. Perl), to make our new PHP staff compatible.
NOTES

Of course, we widely use some libraries (designed by our programmers and found on internet). For example, convenient
XML-based client/server protocol implementation for PHP/Flash, Flash classes for layout management, convenient
cross-browser AJAX library. Also we have same simple skeleton for most our Flash administration back-ends.
