Ошибка русификации (FreeBSD-Apache 2.0 - PHP)

Не знаю где искать!!!

Столкнулся с такой проблемой. Перенес сайт на западный хостинг. Настройки php.ini, httpd.conf одинаковые.
При использовании формы поиска (для слова на кириллице) получаю ошибку http 406.
На латинице все хорошо.
Это касается и поиска по форуму (IPB последняя версия), и поиска по каталогу.
Пробовал извращаться с iconv(....utf-8) - urlencode () и в скрипте ответа на поиск - делать обратное, но это извращение, да и дело в чем то еще.
Информация из баз читается, обрабатывается и выводится без всяких проблем.
Ошибка возникает при передаче информации таким образом:
http://мойсайт/cat/search.php?keyword=%E7%EE%EB%EE%F2%EE&opt=0
Может кто встречался с такой проблемой и решил ее?

The resource identified by the request is only capable of generating response entities which have content characteristics not acceptable according to the accept headers sent in the request.
