How did the meeting idea appear?
First, I would like to say that the meeting isn’t a planned PR action. The idea of PHP OpenAir party appeared in the PHP Club Private mailing list just a few days ago. I believe this project will gather a vast professional community in the Russian Internet segment. I am very impressed by the natural and informal atmosphere of all PHP Club actions, in particular the 4th PHP Conference. Thus, when PHP Open Air Party was started, I and Max Baryshnikov decided to support the movement in Minsk. By doing so, we will bring our contribution to PHP Club activity.
What is PHP OpenAir Party?
I will not go into the global goals of this action. There are none. We just plan a small party for PHP-programmers. We have nice weather in Minsk these days. It is the best time for turning away from the computer, going to the lake and having a rest with people who share your passion for PHP. A few days ago we made a similar party within the SAPID Community. The meeting was a success. You may find photo-reports at the club site "sapid hyphen club dot com". Thus we are foreseeing the OpenAir Party to work out very well.
What about your future plans?
I would like to make such meetings a tradition and I would be glad if this idea receives support from various Belarusian companies. I believe that informal communication of programmers can be a great incentive and a driving force for creating new solutions and fresh fine products to the IT market.
